A retreat at the abbey

In Benedictine monasteries, hospitality is traditional, since the Rule of St. Benedict asks us to “welcome everyone as we would welcome Christ.”

Our abbey has a guest house that welcomes those who wish to pray, reflect, catch their breath, find a listening ear and comfort, or take a peaceful break.

There are different levels of hospitality: occasional hospitality for a liturgical service or a time of listening; hospitality for a stay of varying length at the “Guest House,” alone or in a group.

The Guest House is open all year round except in January.

For groups staying at the abbey

If they are coming for a stay, it is advisable that group participants bring sheets (for a single bed) or sleeping bags, especially if their stay is short and they are coming by car.

For those who are unable to do so, sheets and towels can be rented for the duration of the stay at a cost of €6.

For all our retreat guests

The recently renovated Guest House (la « Maison des Hôtes ») has 20 rooms—including three rooms accessible to people with reduced mobility—that can accommodate up to 25 people.

The Guest House has a dining room, a large meeting room, meeting rooms or parlors, an oratory, and a library on the ground floor.

Upstairs, retreatants can choose between single or double rooms (two single beds—for couples or extra group members). Each room has its own full bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower).

We have three rooms on the ground floor that are accessible to people with reduced mobility, two of which are adjoining.
